You and your Handicap

(Every golfer's role in the RCGA handicap system)

You must enter the adjusted score of every 18 hole round of golf or any round that is more than 14 holes played into the handicap system. It is important to protect the honor of the handicapping system. Please remember you earn the right to hold a handicap card only by providing full evidence of your ability to the handicap committee of your golf club.

Regardless where and when the round is played, you must bring back the course rating and the slope rating of the golf course and your adjusted score to post at the earliest time that the computer is active. The Riverside golf course computer is available between April 1 and October 15.

If you fail to post a score that is deemed acceptable, the Handicap Committee may post a score or post a penalty score or adjust your RCGA Handicap index for any competitions that you enter.

You must have a handicap index in the Pro Shop computer to participate in the tournaments. It is imperative for new members to register in the Riverside Fairway handicapping system as earliest possible time. New members will only be allowed to play the president / Vice-president tournament without a handicap index.
