The Labor Day Classic

NEW FORMAT!!!

The "Labor Day Classic Tournament" is a two-day event based on the "Stableford Scoring System". Points instead of strokes are used to score. They are as follows:

0 points for net double bogey or more

1 point for net bogey

2 points for net par

3 points for net bird

4 points for net eagle

5 points for net double eagle

10 points for net triple eagle

Based on the handicaps on the previous Monday before the tournament, entrants are placed into four handicap groups. One player from each handicap group is randomly drawn to form a team. This will be done in public for whoever wants to witness the process.

The team score uses the best 2 point total on the first hole. Then the best 3 point total on the second hole. Then the best 4 total point total on the third hole and this rotation continues for the entire round. The team with the highest two-day total points wins the tournament.

It is extremely important that you attend on both days. Your team will be greatly handicapped if you do not attend. The penalty for not showing up, is not being able to play in the next tournament and men's night. This penalty will carry over to the next year if needed.
