General Procedures

Tournaments offer interesting and challenging competition for golfers of all handicap groups. Although the number one objective is to have fun and friendship, "Good Golf" should be the second objective for all participants. RCGA rules apply. Violation of the rules may result in disqualification. The Tournament Director will provide local rules if any. The decision of the Tournament Director is final in any dispute.

The executive Board has outlined the proposed tournament schedule on the web site. The Tournament Director has provided details of each tournament in posters and on the web site. Posters and /or the Web site will have tournament information, such as name, formats, prizes, and deadlines. It is your responsibility to check the tournament posters and/or the web site.

The Tournament Director will post the prize structure for both team prizes and individual prizes before the tournament. The Tournament Director will determine the precise awards at the end of the tournament.

You should take specific note to the entry deadline and register as soon as possible. Since the number of participants allowed for each tournament are lesser than the full membership, not every member who wants to register can be accommodated. Deadlines are 6:00 PM on the Monday prior to the tournament being played. If you miss the deadline, please do not expect to enter the tournament.

The tournament fees are included in your men's club registration fee. You may register for the tournaments in person at the pro shop, or by email. Registration starts on the Monday following the last tournament.

You must give 24 hours notice to the pro shop or by email if you are not able to play. The penalty for a no-show is not being able to play in the next tournament and the next men's night. This penalty will carry over to the next year if needed.

When registering or withdrawing by email, type the name of the event in the subject box. Make sure to include your name as well as if you are registering or withdrawing.

The Tournament Committee will post the tournament results on the patio score board as the rounds are completed. The results will also be posted on the web site. The presentation to tournament winners and photographs will be conducted at the earliest opportunity. Winners can also pick-up their prizes from the pro shop if they can not attend the presentation ceremonies.
